Need a cheap ten frame idea? I have been saving up my old egg cartons and I just cut the top and lid of them (shown in the first picture above) and use them in my math center.
I bought the suddenly salad noodles because of the two different colors. You can also color the noodles but this was a quick, easy, and CHEAP way (as a teacher, you know how I feel about cheap)
A fellow teacher also suggested using Wacky Mac colored rotini pasta. Thanks alishalikestoteach!
If you did not see this yesterday, you have to download it- it is: Phonics and reading with McGuffey- it is regularly $20 but free right now- the developer specified that it will be free until the next update so download it ASAP:)

I am really seeing how many teachers are raving about Class Dojo. I wasn't sure that it would work with my 1st graders but I will give it a try. I created an account but I can't do more than that because we won't get our class lists until August....
Erica Bohrer has a great post on her blog about how she uses Class Dojo.
I am an Itech teacher in my parish/district and some of my fellow members present at many of our conferences on Class Dojo. Please click on the picture to head to their blog.
I will blog again after I have used Class Dojo in my classroom. You can comment on what you do in your classroom if you use Class Dojo already!!
