Do you remember the Pizza Hut button that you put a sticker star everytime that you read a book? (I may be aging myself….)

I was so excited to get a free personal pan pizza when I was a child. They still have the program but you have to enroll early to get the hard copies of the certificates/poster. I registered too late one year and I was only able to receive the digital items. Pets in the classroom

I have applied for this grant a couple of times since I’ve been teaching! They give you a voucher to a pet store and you can purchase the pet and the beginning kit of supplies. Makerbus part 2

Makerbus visit

We had a BLAST! Our awesome tech department has a Makerbus(I have other videos on my account.)

We were studying the Louisiana Guidebook Spider Unit and added some math computation. Our tech facilitator created the presentation on @Canva , printed the mat on their poster printer, and used the @Ozobot_official magnetic tiles. Chatterpix app (my station)

Chatterpix is a free app and you can use it with any book, picture, or selfie.

The students had passages from the book Taste Your Words and they took a pic of one of the characters from the book and recorded the passage.

Kiddos just have to draw a straight line by the character’s mouth.

Students can add different colors and objects on the character. 

After that, the magic happens. Students can save the video on their app or can also add their video to their Seesaw account to app smash! #chatterpix #tasteyourwords #teacher #techieteacher #elementaryteacher
