Pinterest tips!

Isn't Pinterest the best thing?  Everything that you need is there for you so you don't have to go to the search engines.  Pinterest has filtered all of the unnecessary items and it even sends you directly to the site or blog.
I looked online for all of these tips and one of my biggest resources comes from www.kaysemorris.com.  Check her out, she is awesome!
Tip 1.  Make your image longer.  You want your picture to be seen more than other pins?  Click here for a tutorial on how to make them long.
Tip 2.  Make your images with bright colors...Red, blue, and green are great colors to use.
Tip 3.  Make sure your description is detailed to get traffic to your pins.
Tip 4.  If you have TPT products, pin your products directly from www.teacherspayteachers.com
Tip 5.  Get a business account...All you have to do is click here and it will send you to convert your personal account with your new business account.  It is free and you get a widget to put on your blog to send teachers directly to your Pinterest account.  The account tracks your data.  It is definitely worth it.  You can also pay to get your pins to become a "Promoted Pin."
Tip 6.  Make sure you pin other teachers and not just your own items.  There are some awesome products and pins that are very valuable.  You can also find a "Pinterest buddy" that you can pin each others pins.
Tip 7.  You NEED to get www.tailwindapp.com...It is a wonderful site that schedules your pins and pins them for you.  They determine(crawl your account) when people go to your Pinterest account and schedule pins during that time.  You can get the first 100 pins for free but they do have paid subscriptions based on your needs.  Once you install the program, you can hover over any picture on blogs, sites, etc. and you will see the Tailwind icon.   Click on that icon and it will send you to schedule it as a Pinterest pin.  Once you get an account, they have a very helpful tutorial video about how Tailwind works.
I hope that this was helpful and feel free to email me if you have any questions!

  1. Thank you so much Misty!!! I did it!! I am now @runitrunnels (had to shorten it!). I was wondering why the sizing wasn't right when I tried the Pin size on Canva. Makes sense now! Great post!! I need to look back at Tailwind.
